Competing with the World of Outlaws during their season ending event, The World Finals, Lance Dewease capped off a busy weekend with a 10th place finish on Saturday night on the ultra-slick Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Kicking the weekend off with a pair of qualifying sessions on Thursday night, Dewease started it off by timing in his Conduit Connections/Wings Unlimited/Hank’s Performance Products entry in with the 17th fastest lap for the Friday night program before timing in 18th quickest for the Saturday night program.

Returning to the track on Friday night for racing action, Dewease kicked the night off on the right foot as he picked up his heat race win, and put his Schaeffer Racing Oils/Penske Shocks/FK Rod Ends backed machine into the evenings dash.

Starting the Dash in the 10th spot, the Fayettevillle, PA driver was able to work his way forward a few spots as he scored a seventh place finish, putting him in the fourth row for the feature event.

During the feature event, Dewease would last for four laps, until he was forced into the pits with mechanical issues, and he was done for the night.

With the cameras of SPEED TV rolling for the Saturday night show, Dewease again flexed his muscle early as he scored another heat race win, and again put his machine into the dash.

A 10th place finish in the dash put the veteran driver in the fifth row for the 30-lap feature, on what was becoming a very slick track.

Making adjustment’s for the ice-like-surface, Dewease fell back a few spots at the start of the race as his car was too tight, as he worked to burn a fuel load off.

Slipping back as far as the 15th spot, Dewease would work his way back forward, and score a 10th place finish with the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’.

“We had a great car all weekend, and I was very pleased,” Lance said. “We were consistent in qualifying on Thursday and put us in great position for a shot at the dash both nights, and that’s huge for this series. We had some issues on Friday, and on Saturday we were tight early, and luckily came back to a top-10.”
