(California, MO)-With two dates already in the books for 2013, the WAR Series presented by Impact Signs will make its first appearance of the season at the LA Raceway in La Monte, MO on Saturday April 13th.   Current point leader Mitchell Moore, a two-time 305 track champion at LA, leads Wingless Auto Racing to La Monte for its third ever show at the 3/8 mile track.

Josh Stephens, currently second in WAR points, won the first ever WAR show at LA last May.  He was followed by Lanny Carpenter, Chris Morgan, John Helm, and JD Black.  Moore took the win in July as he bested Stephens, Frank Brown, Austin Alumbaugh, and Helm.

The current top ten WAR point standings have Moore leading Stephens with Jeff Wingate in third.  Kevin Whitworth, back after a lengthy layoff from sprint car racing, is fourth with Brad Ryun currently sitting fifth.  Steven Cross, who finished sixth in both 2012 races at LA, is sixth and he is followed by Eric Todd and inaugural series champ Alumbaugh.  Helm and Aaron Kuhn are currently tied for ninth.

Gates open at 4 with hot laps scheduled for 6.  Racing is slated to begin at 6:30.  Ticket prices are $15 for adults with senior citizens and military at $13.  Ages 11-15 are $7 with kids 10 and under being admitted free.  Pit passes are $25.
