Davie Franek of Wantage, NJ, the current Rislone URC Sprint Series point leader will be one of many competitors heading to the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ on Saturday night, June 1.  This will mark the first of three Rislone URC Sprint shows at New Egypt in 2013.    Following New Egypt, the URC Sprints will make their first appearance of the year at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, June 7 in an event sponsored by  MACH 1 Chassis, located at 10 North Frederick Street in Mechanicsburg, PA.   MACH 1 engineers and builds race car chassis that have a reputation for safety, strength, durability and performance.   In addition to chassis fabrication and repair, MACH 1 Chassis also manufactures front and rear bumpers, nerf bars, front axles, wing post and wing trees.   Brian Scandle, President of MACH 1 Chassis, INC commented,  “We are pleased to be part of the URC schedule, especially  the Friday, June 7 at Williams Grove, which is always a big event”.

URC’s season opened on April 26 at the Big Diamond Speedway where Robbie Stillwaggon took the win then on Saturday night, May 11, JJ Grasso brought the fans to their feet at the Selinsgrove Speedway, taking the victory in the $3,500 to win Jack Gunn Memorial.  Rain postponed the Bedford URC on May 10 with that event now reschedule for Friday night, June 21.   Just this past weekend, URC was scheduled to be in action at the Delaware International Speedway until rain brought a stop to that program.  At this time, URC owners and Delaware International Speedway Promoter Charlie Cathell and looking at options to re-schedule this event.

After just two races, Davie Franek leads the URC point chase over Robbie Stillwaggon.  Both drivers were in a fierce battle in 2012 with Stillwaggon winning the title at the last race of the season.

Going into the New Egypt Speedway URC event, JJ Grasso was the feature winner at the New Egypt Speedway in their only URC event of 2012.   Grasso is always exciting at New Egypt and he’s expected to be a contender for the win as well.   Josh Weller, Kramer Williamson, Kevin Darling,  Bren Gohn, Randy West, Chad Trout and Dave Ely are a few of the expected contenders to be at New Egypt Speedway.
