Taking on the PA Posse over the weekend, Tim Kaeding scored a fourth place finish on Thursday night at the Lincoln Speedway, before having a forgettable night at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, as Mother Nature cancelled Saturday and Sunday’s events.

With rain delaying the race at Lincoln to Thursday night, TK represented the West Coast against the vaunted PA Posse as he timed his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle in 13th quickest.

His qualifying effort was ideal with the World of Outlaw format as he found himself on the front row of his heat race alongside Brad Sweet.

Getting the jump on Sweet, TK would pick up the win, and put his Mobil1/FK Rod Ends/Weld Wheels backed entry into the feature event, and also earned a spot in the night’s dash.

Lining up on the front row of the dash with Danny Dietrich, TK lost the drag race into turn one, and TK got in line and settled for a second place finish, putting him on the front row of the feature, again with Dietrich.

When the green flag dropped in the feature, TK slipped back as he lost position to Donny Schatz, and battled with Sammy Swindell for the third spot, early in the feature.

Battling the Hall of Famer on the fast Central PA track, Kaeding would slip back to the fourth spot, as laps wound down.

Fending off a pesky Brad Sweet, TK would hang on to the fourth spot as he took the checkered flag.

“We had a good car on Thursday, but we could have been a little better,” TK said. “Troy and the boys have been working hard, and we will certainly take a top five in PA, a place that I typically struggle.

Back in action on Friday night with the World of Outlaws against the PA Posse, the scene shifted to the Williams Grove Speedway.

Though the night began well for Kaeding , he would struggle once heat races rolled around.

“We were decent in qualifying, but we were right in no man’s land where and didn’t get the start we needed in the heat race,” he explained.

Timing in seventh fastest, Kaeding slipped back to the fifth spot, and transferred to the feature event, though he started in the 15th spot.

When the race went green, it was apparent TK did not have the best car, as he fought a very ill handeling racecar, and ended up finishing in the 24th spot.

“We were way too free on Friday in Williams Grove, but it certainly was not for a lack of effort,” he said. “We tried some things and they just didn’t work, so we will learn from that and move forward.”

Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2013.
