Fremont, OH — (July 20, 2013) — Heavy thunderstorms that dumped over 3 inches of rain early Saturday morning has forced the cancellation of racing at Fremont Speedway for July 20.

“Hats off to my guys. They worked their tails off this week cleaning up from last week’s major storms so we could race this Saturday and then Mother Nature dumps on us. The water was up three quarters of the way on the turns early this morning and just wasn’t draining fast enough to get on the track to get it ready,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer.

Racing will resume Saturday, July 27 on Kistler Engines Classic Care Cruise-In Night. The first 20 classic vehicles that cruise into the fairgrounds for the night’s racing will receive a free admission ticket to the night’s racing. After the first 20, any additional classic vehicle cruisers will receive a $4 off coupon for general admission tickets for the night’s racing.

The Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints, Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints, AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Tucks and Computer Man Sports Compacts will be in competition. It is a Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Championship Series event for the 410 sprints and a JLH General Contractors FAST Championship Series event for the 305 sprints.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
