Knoxville, IA — (August 2, 2013) — With his win in the preliminary main on the second night of the Arnold Motor Supply 360-cubic-inch Knoxville Nationals on Friday at Knoxville Raceway, Justin Henderson of South Dakota has tied Danny Lasoski of Missouri as the early leaders in the 2013 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week point standings. Night number three is Saturday, August 3, with the final main of the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals and a winged 305-cubic-inch sprint car feature. The ‘360’ Nationals are sanctioned by the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).
The unofficial top sixteen in the 2013 Cox Design Iowa Speed Week points after one night is as follows: 1., Justin Henderson, Danny Lasoski, 50 points (tie); 3., Kyle Larson, Shane Stewart, 49 points (tie); 5., Wayne Johnson, Kevin Swindell, 48 points (tie); 7., Clint Garner, Brad Sweet, 47 points (tie); 9., Justyn Cox, Lee Grosz, 46 points (tie); 11., Jonathan Cornell, Robby Wolfgang, 45 points (tie); 13., Brian Brown, Davey Heskin, 44 points (tie); 15., Jason Johnson, Scott Winters, 43 points (tie).
The Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speedweek includes ten straight nights of sprint car racing between Knoxville Raceway and the Southern Iowa Speedway. The top three places pay $2,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, with the winner declared the Jesse Hockett “Mr. Sprint Car” titlist.
