Anderson, IN — (August 7, 2013) — See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series (MSRXSS) has been added to the annual Mason Dixon Meltdown at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenley, NC November 23. It will serve as the final weekend of racing on the 2013 Must See calendar.

The MSRXSS will be joined by the Pro All Star Series (PASS) Super Late Models as the headlining divisions. The PASS Pro Late Models will also be on the night’s racing card along with possible additions to be announced at a later date.

The appearan August 7, 2013 – Holly, MI – Must See Racing announced today the TRUFUEL Must ce of the MSRXSS at Southern National Motorsports Park is sure to generate excitement. The track record at the 4/10 high-banked oval is all but certain to fall. The appearance of 410 c.i. asphalt winged sprint cars is a rarity in the Carolinas. Not since the late 1980’s have the cars competed in the area. The All Star Circuit of Champions visited the Carolina’s in 1989 when the series experimented with racing paved events.

The Mason Dixon Meltdown has quickly become arguably one of the most anticipated and prestigious races in the southeast in its brief eight-year history. The event has been rotated at a handful of different venues but it is hoped Southern National will become its permanent home. The event draws teams from all over the country for one final get-to-gather of fans and racers before the season comes to an end.

PASS president, Tom Mayberry, expressed his excitement with the announcement that the MSRXSS will be participating in the Mason Dixon Meltdown.”We are familiar with the MSRXSS and have been following what they have been doing” explained Mayberry.”Fans don’t get to see winged asphalt sprints in the Southeast. We feel Southern National is a perfect fit for these cars. These guys break records wherever they go and put on a great show. We think adding the MSRXSS will be a great addition to the Mason Dixon Meltdown” concluded Mayberry.

MSRXSS founder and president Jim Hanks added “All of us at Must See Racing are really looking forward to our first visit competing in the rich history of the Mason Dixon Melt Down and the anticipated speed at Southern National Motorsports Park on November 23rd. Our race teams from across the country and Canada are looking forward to challenging the track record and entertaining the fans with high speed open wheel to open wheel action. The MSR 900 plus horsepower direct drive sprint cars that only weigh 1600 lbs. with down force wings is sure to make this a wild, memorable and entertaining race for all the fans.”

Due to the time of year and location of the event, officials are confident that the event will draw a strong field of cars for this event. It will also mark the first time that the MSRXSS has participated in the state of North Carolina. An open practice session has been scheduled for Friday November 22 with racing action the following evening November 23. A rain date for Sunday November 24 will be available if nessesary.
