The “Western World Championships” on November 14-16 at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. are next up for the Honda USAC Western Midgets as their 2013 season winds down toward its conclusion November 28 at Perris, Calif.

Series point leader Ronnie Gardner of Norco, Calif. continues to dominate the standings, now enjoying a 266-point margin over Jake Swanson in the most recent points.

Gardner won Saturday night’s 101-lap “John Soares Classic” at Petaluma (Calif.) Speedway. Taking the lead from Greg Bragg on lap 74, he led the final 28 laps in his Baldozier Racing/Esslinger Engineering Stewart/Esslinger for his fourth win in his last five outings and ninth win this season! Shane Golobic finished second ahead of Bragg, Shannon McQueen and Taylor Simas.
