March 26, 2014 — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series is changing their dash format for the remainder of the 2014 season.  The heat race winners and fastest qualifiers that finish in transfer spots, two or three depending on if there are three or four heat races, will make up a six car dash to determine the first six starting positions in the A-Main.  Previously the top two finishers in each heat race made the dash with the fastest two drivers that transfer making up a 10 car dash.

World of Outlaws official Carlton Remers informed us that this is a change the teams asked for during the platinum team owner meetings last season and feel it is for fair for the competitors.  The format is one that the Outlaws have used in previous seasons.  The new format will be used during this weekend’s races at Merced Speedway and Silver Dollar Speedway.
