The Short Track Nationals has long been a coveted crown of the southern Sprint Car scene. The race launched in 1988 at Little Rock, AR’s I-30 Speedway. The first podium featured a legendary trio, with Steve Kinser taking the win over Sammy Swindell and Bobby Davis Jr.
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series is set to debut in a big way at Texarkana 67 Speedway. Two huge events are packed into one weekend (Oct. 23-24) as The Greatest Show on Dirt is ready to debut at the dirt track built on the Arkansas side of the city that bridges Texas and Arkansas.

Weekends don’t get much more special than the one Sheldon Haudenschild just had. The Wooster, OH native grew Sheldon Haudenschild’s NOS Energy Drink Buckeye Brawl to three rounds for 2026, sending the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series to a trio of Ohio ovals.
Michael “Buddy” Kofoid hit the entire field with a knockout punch Thursday night. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series rolled into Findlay, OH’s Millstream Speedway to kickoff Sheldon Haudenschild’s NOS Energy Drink Buckeye Brawl Weekend. A stout field of 39 cars checked in, and Kofoid put a beatdown on them all in the Roth Motorsports No. 83.
Sheldon Haudenschild cares deeply for his Ohio roots and continuing the state’s rich Sprint Car racing tradition. The Wooster, OH native’s passion will be on display this weekend as he’s bringing the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series to his home state for a tripleheader at three different racetracks.
Don’t pinch Chase Dietz. He doesn’t want to wake up from his dream 2026 season. The York, PA native entered Williams Grove Speedway’s 64th J&S Classics National Open boasting a nation-leading 23 wins this year in 410 Sprint Car competition. But the trip to Victory Lane that came Saturday night was bigger than all the others.
The drought is over for the champion. The last two months haven’t been ideal for David Gravel and Big Game Motorsports. Sure, they’ve consistently racked up top 10 finishes and maintained a solid point lead, but this crew is accustomed to winning and winning often.

This week, he’s returned to driving duties again and just in time to represent the Pennsylvania Posse at the 64th J&S Classics National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on Oct. 2-3.
