Rilat Dominates Gulf South at Battleground

HIGHLANDS, Texas (May 3, 2014) – Travis Rilat capped off his weekend with the Ronald Laney Memorial at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas taking the No. 39c from the pole to lead every lap against the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region.

A victory worth $3,000 to the Forney, Texas driver, Rilat was chased to the line by Channin Tankersley, Ray Allen Kulhanek, Brandon Berryman, and Travis Elliot who completed the top five as the first driver a lap down.

 

John Pate, Wes Miller, Chris Sweeney, Tommy Bryant, and Klint Angelette made up the top ten.

 

The Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region competes next at the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas on Friday, May 23 and Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas on Saturday, May 24.
