Jackson, MN — (June 11, 2014) — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series will make its ninth visit to Jackson Speedway this Friday.

The Big Game Shootout brought to you by Eyecon Cameras and Big Game Treestands will showcase the top sprint car drivers in the country on the unique half-mile track, which has featured five different winners since the inaugural race in 1987.

Steve Kinser, who is a 20-time World of Outlaws champion, has recorded a trio of victories at Jackson Speedway. Kinser was victorious in 1988, 2004 and 2010.

“Any time you go to a track you run good at you look forward to going there,” he said. “That means a lot when you go to the race.”

Current World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series championship standings leader Donny Schatz is the only other driver to pick up multiple wins at Jackson Speedway. Schatz claimed last year’s race and he won in 2006.

Defending series champion Daryn Pittman, three-time Outlaws champion Sammy Swindell and inaugural race winner Bobby Davis Jr. are the only other drivers to earn a World of Outlaws victory at Jackson Speedway.

However, there is a bevy of suitable drivers aiming for their first career win this Friday.

“It’s an area that supports sprint car racing and it’s nice that the Outlaws are going there,” said Joey Saldana, who leads the series in quick times and ranks third in the championship standings.
