Fremont Speedway rained out

From Brian Liskai

Fremont, OH — (April 25, 2015) — With rain moving into the area over night and a forecast of a high of only 49 degrees Saturday falling to mid 30s with wind chills in the lower 30s, Fremont Speedway has cancelled tonight’s racing.

“We know a lot of our great fans have fun with the Fan Zone contest and we will look at incorporating that into another night of racing,” said Rich Farmer, Fremont Speedway Promoter. “But with the cold, rain and wind….it just wouldn’t be a fun night at the track. Our fans and race teams have been tremendous the first two weeks of the year and I can’t thank them enough for their support.”

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, May 2 for the Baumann Auto Group Night. There will be free camping available in the lot across the street from the track. Racing will be the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints; Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints; AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Trucks; and the McCullough Industries 602 Late Models. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing underway at 7 p.m.

It will be a Kistler Racing Products Fremont Attica Sprint Title (FAST) Championship Series Presented by KS Sales and Service point race for the 410 sprints. Five time Fremont champion and two time and defending FAST champion Byron Reed leads the FAST points over Dean Jacobs, Cap Henry, Chris Andrews and Craig Mintz.
