Bryan Clauson qualifies 28th for the 100th Indianapolis 500

Speedway, IN – (May 23, 2016) – Bryan Clauson finalized his starting position on Sunday afternoon for the 100th Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Clauson official qualified 28th on Sunday driving the Jonathan Byrd’s Racing / Cancer Treatment Centers of American sponsored car. Clauson is slated to make his third start in the Indianapolis 500.

Clauson’s focus now turns to race day with practice on Monday before final practice on Carburation Day on Friday. Clauson will look to finish the Indianapolis 500 for the first time as his previous two starts resulted in a 30th and 31st place finish. Last year Clauson completed 61 laps before an incident took him out of the event.

Clauson also is scheduled to complete May 25th at the Terre Haute Action Track with the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series and Thursday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds with the USAC Silver Crown Series as part of his “Circular Insanity” tour where Clauson is attempting to compete in 200 races in the same season.
