Nicholson wins USCS feature at Talladega Short Track

Eastaboga, AL — (June 2, 2016) — Anthony Nicholson charged from his second row starting position into the RockAuto.com USCS Victory Lane Thursday night at Talladega Short Track for the USCS round # 5 of the 11th annual sprint Speedweek. Nicholson picked up his first win since his 6 win season with the USCS in 2014. Speedweek 2016 points leader and 2013 USCS Champion Derek Hagar from Marion, AR chased Nicholson home in the runner-up spot. 11-time USCS National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, TN charged from 7th place and collected the K&N Podium Award for a third place finish. Pole Position starter Marshall Skinner from Marion, AR finished fourth collecting the K&N Pole Award and Andy McElhannon from Hernando, MS rounded out the top five.

The 47 of Eric Riggins out of Charlotte North Carolina collected the Wilwood Hard Charger award after starting 12 and battling to 6th. 2015 USCS Champion Morgan Turpen from Cordova, TN finished strong in 7th and 2-time USCS Champion Tim Crawley from Benton, AR finished 8th. USCS Past Champion Eddie Gallagher from Olive Branch, MS finished 9th and Speedweek Round 3 winner Brian Bell from Memphis, TN collected the DMI Top 10 Award for a 10th place finish.
