National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum

The Friday, June 1, special reception for past National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) inductees, to be held on the museum’s second floor at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.

The Indianapolis 500 is all about tradition and so is the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF). For the twenty-third consecutive year, the NSCHoF induction banquet in Knoxville, Iowa, will follow the Indy 500 by less than one week, taking place on Saturday, June 2, this year.

Tomorrow night’s “Sprint Car 101 – Third Thursday Series” program at the National Sprint Car Museum, featuring emcee Bill Wright and entitled “Fifteen Years Ago Tonight (May 17, 1997) at Knoxville Raceway

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will be taking it’s Eagle Motorsports/Don Ott Racing Engines number 9 raffle (sprint) car to the Upper Midwest on May 18-19 with stops at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, on Friday and Fairmont Raceway

The twenty-third annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) induction banquet, set for Saturday afternoon, June 2, is taking shape as 2012 inductees, family members, friends and special guests are beginning to confirm their attendance.

The “Sprint Car Capital of the World” comes to life this weekend, April 13-15, as the National Sprint Car Museum hosts the fourteenth annual International Reel Wheel Film Festival, which celebrates the automobile and motorsports in film, and the Knoxville Raceway hosts its annual Practice Night on Saturday, April 14.

Beginning in August 2011, the board of directors and staff of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum embarked on “Expand the Dream,” a three-year, $3.3-million comprehensive fundraising campaign. Expand the Dream has two primary goals: 1) construction of an enhanced staging & storage facility, and 2) short-term growth of the organization’s endowment funds.

The National Sprint Car Museum’s “Sprint Car 101” Third Thursday Series will continue on Thursday, March 15, with “An Evening With A.J. ‘Skip’ Jackson”.

The National Sprint Car Museum’s “Sprint Car 101” Third Thursday Series will continue on Thursday, February 16, with “Introducing Jamie Ball”.

The first “Sprint Car 101 – Third Thursday Series” program of 2012 will take place on Thursday, January 19, at the National Sprint Car Museum and it will feature veteran sprint car owner Lonny Parsons.
