SEBASTOPOL, CA 5-15-10 – In the early weeks of the racing season, Sebastopol Sprint Car ace Bradley Terrell has had his share of hardships. Two weeks ago he began his quest back to the top with his first podium finish of the year. Last Saturday at Petaluma Speedway, Terrell took his drive back towards success to the next level, winning his first feature event of the season in the All Pro Series at the famed Petaluma track.

“We had a good starting spot up in the front which put me in a good position to get out ahead of everyone and have a good clean drive to the finish,” said Terrell. “We are really hoping to travel a little more this season so getting a win is nice to finally put some money in the racing account so we can do so soon.”

In Saturday’s event, Terrell began his evening at the Sonoma Marin County Fairgrounds with the 8th fastest qualifying time of the night when he turned a 13:068 second lap on the tacky 3/8 mile track in the heart of the Sonoma wine country. In his heat race he drove to a second place finish.

For the 25-lap feature event, Terrell started on the outside of the front row. At the green flag’s first sight he muscled the throttle of his #43 family owned sprint car to the high line of the track and maneuvered himself past pole sitter Geoff Ensign into a lead he would never relinquish for the entire event.

“I felt if I got the jump and led for 10 hard laps I’d be able to hold on,” said Terrell. “There were 16 cars in the race and I figured if got out in front of everyone I would stay out of trouble and not likely have to face too much lapped traffic. The car was great tonight and I’d really like to thank my team and family for giving me such a good car to drive.”

At the start of the 2010 racing season, Terrell announced he would not focus on the championship points run at Petaluma Speedway as he had in the past. The team plans on traveling when funds and additional sponsorship permit. With his win Saturday night, Terrell finds himself in the point lead of Petaluma Speedway’s All Pro Series. In 2010 he finished a bridesmaid to two time track champion Alissa Geving after a hard fought season battle into the final weeks of racing.

Although the team does plan on racing some of the high profile events in California in the months to come, additional sponsorship is needed. For Terrell, the best avenue to acquire such sponsorship is to keep his winning ways no matter where he competes. This Saturday he will return to Petaluma as the division point leader and look for win number two on the season.

While he seeks additional sponsorship, Bradley Terrell is grateful for his continued supporters for the 2010 racing, many of which helped out these past two weeks to get him prepared for the All Pro Series opener. Among his marketing partners are Millhouse Glass, the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, Randy Hanson Auto Body and Paint. Vanlare Steering Repair, A1 Shower and Mirror Incorporated, Knockout Signs, Santa Rosa Moving & Storage, Altes Engineering, and 4 Wheel Parts.
