From Wilke-PAK Motorsports
Jerry Coons Jr. drove the Wilke-PAK#11 to three top five finishes in the recent three-day Gold Crown Nationals at Tri-City Speedway, on Sept. 30/Oct. 1-2. Coons finished fourth in the opening night feature. The following night Coons led the first 14-laps before finishing second. The final night saw another fourth place finish. Wilke-PAK remains in second place only 62 points out the lead in Car Owner Points, while Coons trails leader Bryan Clauson by 98 markers in the drivers standing.
The team’s next event will be Oct. 30 when the USAC Western Midget Series visits the Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway for SpeedFest 2010 as part of the NHRA weekend at the facility. Kody Swanson who won earlier in the year for the team at ORP will drive the car at Las Vegas. The USAC National slate continues with Coons behind the wheel at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare,Calif. on Nov.13, marking the first ever USAC National Midget event at the facility.
