FORLER SET FOR CALIFORNIA DOUBLE-HEADER WITH THE OUTLAWS

By Shawn Miller

Inside Line Promotions – LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (March 14) – After a week away from racing, Logan Forler is ready to hop back into his sprint car – and for a little redemption.

Forler is set to compete with the World of Outlaws at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif., on Friday and at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., on Saturday.

The 17-year-old from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., began this season at those two tracks, which are the only two events where he failed to advance to the feature this year.

Racing with the ASCS National Tour in early February, Forler had mechanical issues in the B Main at Thunderbowl Raceway and he crashed while in a transfer position in the B Main at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway.

“We’ve had our ups and downs in Hanford and Tulare,” Forler said. “I think we can redeem ourselves. Now that we’ve had a few laps on those tracks, we’ve got a few things figured out.”

However, the following weekend at USA Raceway in Tucson, Ariz., Forler posted his two best career ASCS National Tour finishes. He then opened his World of Outlaws season the first weekend in March in Las Vegas, earning the Hard Charger Award both nights.

“As long as things go our way, I think that we have the ability to run up front and it makes me confident after Las Vegas that we can do it,” Forler said.

Despite the recent hot streak, the goal remains the same for Forler.

“We want to make the feature both nights and end up in the top 20 somewhere,” he said. “It’s so hard to run with the World of Outlaws; just to make the main would be good.”
