World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at a Glance: Invading heart of Posse Country at Williams Grove Speedway

By Kyle Luetters

CONCORD, N.C. – May 9, 2011 – A long-time rivalry reaches new intensity this weekend when the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invades the heart of Pennsylvania Posse country for two full events plus the inaugural Morgan Cup challenge.

As if two full events featuring the biggest rivals in motorsports wasn’t enough, the Morgan Cup will cap off the weekend with a 12-lap race to finally determine who’s better: the Outlaws or the Posse. An $11,000 purse is at stake, plus a sterling silver trophy, but most important are the bragging rights.

The competitors were determined by taking the top five World of Outlaws finishers and top five Posse finishers from last fall’s National Open. The field includes defending series champion Jason Meyers, two-time winner this season Jason Sides, top World of Outlaws qualifier Paul McMahan, four-time champion Donny Schatz and 2005 Knoxville Nationals champion Kraig Kinser. The Posse team boasts an impressive line up including Lance Dewease, Stevie Smith, Brian Montieth, Daryn Pittman and Greg Hodnett. Craig Dollansky and Chad Layton are the alternates.
