Rilat Reels In ASCS Regional Showdown Loot at Devil’s Bowl!

MESQUITE, Texas (July 30, 2011) – Travis Rilat picked up a $2,000 win just a few short miles from his Forney, TX, home by winning Saturday night’s 25-lap The Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star vs. Smiley’s Racing Products ASCS Gulf South main event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

Rilat took the lead away from Matt Covington on the fifth round and went on to his second ASCS Regional win of the year aboard the F&J Construction/Murray & Sons/shoptheboss.com No. 29 Triple X.

Rilat took the checkered flag ahead of Kevin Ramey, who got around Covington for second on a lap 20 restart. Current Lone Star points leader Covington took the show position, with Mike Goodman and Michael Lang rounding out the top five.

Joshua Hodges was sixth, with 17th-starter Eric Baldaccini, Brandon Berryman, Brandon Corn and Greg Rilat completing the top ten.

Corn, Travis Rilat, Travis Elliott and Berryman topped heat race action for the 36-car field, with Baldaccini and Martin Edwards winning the “B” Mains.
