– BRANDON, S.D. (Sept. 6) – Danny Lasoski received the call last Tuesday and there weren’t many questions asked.

“They asked if I wanted to race the Big Game Treestands No. 1s at Huset’s,” he said. “I said yes and didn’t ask questions.”

Lasoski headed to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., for a pair of races on Sunday and Monday at the high-banked, 3/8-mile track. He was third fastest in qualifying and finished fifth in his heat race on Sunday.

That lined the Dover, Mo., native up ninth for the feature, although he didn’t stay there long. Lasoski charged to second within the first handful of laps before a broken rod sidelined the car for the rest of the weekend.

“It was absolutely capable of winning,” he said after finishing 13th. “It’s a great race car and a great race team. They have everything to get the job done. I’ve got to thank Big Game Treestands and especially Tod Quiring. Also, thanks to the guys who helped out and crewed. They did a great job.

“I hope it leads into something, but right now it was a one-time deal.”

Lasoski is unsure of when and where his next race will be.
