IT’S CONFIRMED – TONY STEWART TO RETURN TO OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY JULY 30 & 31

By Ken Pelkie

Ohsweken Speedway is excited to officially announce that Tony Stewart will be returning to the “Big O” this summer. Thanks to the efforts of promoter Glenn Styres, Tony has penciled in back to back dates on his busy schedule at the fast 3/8 mile clay oval.

On July 30 preceding the annual visit of the World of Outlaws and the “Six Nations Showdown”, Tony will participate in a CORR/Pak 360 sprint program. The event will feature a full racing program that Ohsweken offers every Friday night featuring Stewart in a Sprint Car. A special meet and greet will be held during the late afternoon giving some lucky fans an opportunity to get up close to the reigning and three time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion. Then the following night, fans will be able to witness night two of the most action packed racing in the area in 2012 when the stars of the World of Outlaw Sprint tour make their annual invasion of Ohsweken. Defending his 2011 win of the “Six Nations Showdown”, Stewart not only claimed his first World of Outlaw Sprint Car win with the victory at Ohsweken in 2011, but this win has been viewed as the spring board that propelled Stewart to a blistering finish on his way to the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship.

While tickets are currently on sale for the World of Outlaw event and the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at 1-888-720-7223, they will not be offered for the Monday, July 30th show until the week of April 1st. Advanced ticket holders of the Tony Stewart event from 2011 will be offered a chance to renew their seats for a limited time before they go on sale to the general public. Be sure to watch the official website of Ohsweken Speedway at www.ohswekenspeedway.com for more details as April 1st draw near.
