California, MO — (June 24, 2012) — Following a Saturday night duo with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region returned to California, Missouri’s Double X Speedway for the second of three Warrior Region visits this season.

Following an impressive third place finish in Saturday’s ASCS Speedweek finale at Lucas Oil Speedway, Nixa, Missouri’s Kyle Bellm entered Sunday night’s Warrior contest at Double X with top ten finishes in each of the seven Warrior contests completed thus far in the 2012 campaign – six of those being of the top five variety.

So it is of small surprise that the Nixa Nightmare wired all 25 laps of the ASCS Warrior main event at Double X for his first Warrior victory of the season aboard the Jeff Smith owned and powered Tiger Towing and Albrite Heating & Cooling no. 86 Maxim.

Starting on the pole of the 25 lap main event, only a few cautions would slow Bellm’s pace as the Nixa Nightmare gained the second ASCS win of his career following a Warrior score last season.

Bellm also had some unbeknownst luck in the invisible rear view as Warrior point leader Jonathon Cornell maintained the runner up spot until a spinning with just a couple laps remaining, reducing Cornell to a seventh place finish that brings Bellm to just 8 points off Cornell’s leading pace.

Tyler Blank finished with runner up honors following Cornell’s spin, with Brad Graham claiming show position honors.

Following his first ASCS victory in astounding fashion just one night before in ASCS National Tour action, Cody Baker took Hard Charger honors with a charge from 16th to fourth. Austin Alumbaugh completed the top five finishing order.

Tyler Blank, Matt Close, and Kyle Bellm took heat race wins over the 19 car field.

The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region returns to action on July 3rd for a one night co-sanctioned holiday special against the ASCS National Tour at Junction Motor Speedway in Cameron, Missouri.
