Yakima, WA — (September 21, 2012) — Sometimes it’s all about being at the right place at the right time and when the checkered flag was waving at Yakima Dirt Track with the ASCS Northwest Region, that is exactly where Jayme Barnes was.
Following Mitch Olson’s No. 98m for 29 of the night’s 30 scheduled laps, Barnes led the only lap that counted after Olson found an infield tractor tire exiting turn four coming to the checkered flag; collecting series point’s leader Henry VanDam in the process. Olson would not return and was scored 12th. VanDam was able to return and managed a 7th place run.
Barnes was chase across the line by Trey Starks with Steve Vague, Brock Lemley, and Jesse Whitney making up the top five. Cam Smith, Henry VanDam, Rangy Peirce, Steven James, and Garren Linder completed the top ten.
The ASCS Northwest Region returns to Yakima this Saturday September 22nd for the 2012 Season Finale.
