Tulsa Oklahoma (May 7, 2014) – Officials with the Oil Capital Racing Series and the West Siloam Speedway in Colcord Oklahoma have announced a date change for the non-wing sprint car event that was scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 29.
Officials of the West Siloam Speedway have moved their program events from Sunday nights to Friday nights. The previously booked June 29 show is now being moved to Friday night June 20. The event will be the second non-wing sprint car race on the OCRS schedule.
The first non-wing race of the season will be May 24 at the Osage Casino Caney Valley Speedway and following that non-wing event, West Siloam Speedway will be the next non-wing sprint car event. South Coffeyville Speedway in South Coffeyville Oklahoma will hold a non-wing sprint car race on Friday, June 27. OCRS officials will be booking an additional non-wing sprint show to be added to on the schedule and that event will be announced at a later date.
As announced earlier this year, the OCRS non-wing sprint car champion will receive a Jimmy Sills Open Wheel Racing School program package valued at $2000. In addition, the non-wing champion will also receive a $300 product certificate from M&W Aluminum Products along with a cash award payout. Positions two through five in the non-wing standings will also receive cash awards. These awards will be paid and distributed at the OCRS 2014 awards banquet.
