The biggest and highest paying weekend of the year awaits the United Rebel Sprint Series this weekend as teams prepare for three nights of racing over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All three are National points races as well as Colorado and Kansas regional point shows.

The weekend begins at 7pm on Friday night at Wakeeney Speedway in Wakeeney Kansas as the Rebels make their second visit this season at the high speed 3/8 mile oval. Zach Blurton, who won the first race in Wakeeney, will attempt to repeat his feat and try to collect the $1000 winners share. The race will also pay $200 to start the A feature.

All the heavy hitters from both Kansas and Colorado regions are expected to make the trip this weekend as Kansans C.J. Johnson, Brian Herbert, Steven Richardson, Luke Cranston, JD. Johnson, Raymond Seemann, Ty Williams along with many other Kansas hot shoes will await a strong contingent of Colorado drivers with Jake Bubak, Zac Taylor, Coby Pearce, Mike Taylor, Clint Schubert, Patrick Bourke, Adam Trimble and many other Colorado drivers planning to make the tow.

After Friday nights action the Rebels will head 30 miles east to RPM Speedway in Hays Kansas for the two day Wheatshocker Nationals on Saturday and Sunday. Sundays winner will take home a cool $2000 with $200 to start the main event. All non qualifiers will receive $100 in both Wakeeney and Hays.

An added incentive this year will be a URSS custom Ozark Mountain pellet Grill and Smoker to the high point driver for the 3 day weekend courtesy of S&W Supply, your Federated Auto Parts distributor out of Hays Kansas. This grill valued at $750 will come with a custom URSS Wheatshocker Weekend logo attached and will be part of S&W Supply’s 80th Anniversay celebration.

“Were looking forward to what should be a great field of cars this weekend as it will be the first National points races this year. We have a strong bunch of cars coming from Colorado this year to race against the Kansas guys. Those guys out there are getting fast and I’m looking forward to the race these guys will put on all three nights” said URSS founder Rick Salem.

All three nights will also be broadcast live on racinboys.com for those who cannot attend in person.
