FVP National Sprint League Notes from St. Francois County Raceway

The “March through Missouri” last weekend was supposed to include a “Left” and then a “Right”. Unfortunately, Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s event at Randolph County Raceway near Moberly. On the bright side, a great event was held Thursday at the St. Francois County Raceway near Farmington. What was tabbed as a battle between the FVP National Sprint League and the locals, was just that. Following are some notes from the night.

Danny Lasoski tops tough local contingent in Farmington

Fortune smiled a bit on Dover, Missouri’s Danny Lasoski Thursday night at the Saint Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Missouri. After shattering the track record in time trials, it looked like he may not get out of his heat race until Bryan Clauson spun, giving him the final transfer spot. Jerrod Hull broke a Jacob’s ladder while leading the feature when he tagged a spun lapped car. Nonetheless, Lasoski did what he had to do in putting himself in position to become the first repeat FVP National Sprint League winner this season.

POWRi event at Belle-Clair rained out, Farmington rescheduled

The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets and Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro event scheduled Friday, May 8th in Belleville, Illinois has been cancelled. In an effort to save fans, teams, and racers unnecessary travel expenses, the projected rainfall and the extended forecast has forced the cancellation of the Friday, May 8th “Battle at Belle-Vegas II” at Belle-Clair Speedway.
Additionally, the Saturday, May 9th event at St. Francois County Raceway has been postponed due to projected rainfall.
