With upwards of 12,000 people on hand over three-days in the small town of Rio Vista this past weekend the King of the West Sprint Car Series held its open house/grand opening in conjunction with the 63rd annual Rio Vista Bass Derby and Festival.

This Saturday’s Cotton Classic at the Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway not only marks the final Winged 410 Sprint Car event of the season in California, but it will also see the return of Visalia’s “Super” Blake Robertson to the seat of a sprint car.

Winning races is always a big part of earning championships.
