TUCSON, Ariz. (September 18, 2010) – Two-time and defending American Sprint Car Series Southwest Region champion Rick Ziehl extended his 2010 points lead by winning Saturday night’s 25-lap main event at USA Raceway.
Ziehl raced to his third ASCS Southwest win of the year in front of Kyle Sager, with 15-year-old Joshua Hodges claiming the show position to give New Mexico drivers a sweep of the podium.
El Paso’s John Carney II was fourth, with Wes Wofford rounding out the top five. Calvin Landis crossed the stripe sixth, with Joshua Williams, Mike Rux, Jr., Lance Norick and Marty Wilcox completing the top ten.
Sager and Carney won Saturday night’s heat race action.
