ROSSBURG, OH (Sept. 23) – Consistency and tradition have played pivotal roles in the successful history of Eldora Speedway. With that in mind, track owner Tony Stewart recently met with his staff to confirm the dates of the 2011 major events planned for the southwestern Ohio one-half mile clay oval speed plant.

Each will mirror that of previous years.

Kicking off the agenda for high profile race meets will be the Prelude to the Dream, featuring Stewart’s NASCAR brethren racing against each other for charity on Wednesday, June 8.

Two nights later, the $100,000 to win Dirt Late Model Dream will take to Eldora’s clay in the annual pilgrimage of the Nation’s leading dirt Late Models to Ohio in a chase for the big bucks. Those dates are June 10 & 11.

Winged Sprint Car racing will take center stage over the weekend of July 15 & 16 with the running of the Knight Before and the Kings Royal. Each night will be highlighted by a full program of racing competition; concluding with Saturday’s chase for a seat upon the hallowed throne and the envied crowning of the King.

The chase for the fabled globed trophy and the storied World 100 will fill the weekend of September 9 & 10. Without questions, this grueling pursuit of glory is considered amongst the dirt late model fraternity as the ‘grandaddy’ of all races.

Ticket ordering information for these events will be released shortly.
