Ohsweken Speedway opens tonight

Ohsweken Speedway’s 20th annual Opening Night presented by 98.9 myFM will take the green flag on Friday, May 15 at 7:30pm, with large fields expected in all of the regular Friday night divisions. The opening event of Ohsweken’s season will include the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bombers.

Due to inclement weather and a poor weather forecast, the Frontier Region of the American Sprint Car Series and Electric City Speedway officials decided to cancel this weekend’s races at the Great Falls, Montana facility. IRA heads to Wilmot Saturday

Wilmot Raceway, considered the southern home track of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints, will host the first of it’s five IRA events this season, this coming Saturday evening, May 16th. The modestly banked third-mile clay oval located at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, Wisconsin is the birthplace of the IRA sprints, which hosted their first contest over 50 years ago.

Following a disappointing rainout at Fremont Speedway this past Saturday, the Mo Vaughn Transport / Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series is now set to open the 2015 season at Jason and Kristin Flory’s Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio. Twenty-eight wingless warriors were signed in for battle on Saturday despite the fact there were many other tracks running in the Ohio / Indiana area. Series and track officials expect another fine field to be on hand with drivers from six states indicating their intentions to compete.
