BOSS Kicks Off Season this Saturday at Atomic Speedway
The Rick’s Trucks and Equipment – Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) is set to kick off its 2017 tour this Saturday, April 22nd at the Atomic Speedway just south of Chillicothe, Ohio. This will mark the seventh season of competition for the traditional wingless sprint car series that lays claim to being the last true “outlaw” sprint car series.

All Star Event at Atomic Speedway Moved to Sunday April 9th
After a near-two month hiatus, last sanctioning competition on Thursday, February 16, at the Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville, Florida, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions are set to return to work, this time north of the Mason-Dixon Line where the Series will stay for the remainder of the season.

Persistent rains throughout evening and overnight hours on Thursday, as well as more rain throughout the morning hours on Friday, has left Atomic Speedway and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions officials no choice but to cancel the originally scheduled Friday night portion of All Star championship weekend.

Jeff Gordon cut his teeth racing winged sprint cars before making a move to stock cars, launching what has become one of the most prolific careers in NASCAR Sprint Cup racing. Saturday night, September 17, this legacy comes full circle when Atomic Speedway, Chillicothe, Ohio hosts “Jeff Gordon Night”. Gordon is scheduled to return to the high banks of Atomic Speedway where he won his first sprint car race at the age of 14.

All Stars rained out at Atomic Speedway
With wet weather invading the Chillicothe/Waverly, Ohio-area during the early evening hours, Atomic Speedway and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions officials were forced to cancel the June 4 racing program, a third consecutive weather disturbance at Atomic Speedway for the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in 2016. A potential rain date is being discussed. More details will be released when information is available.
