POPULAR PIT PARTY INCLUDED AS PART OF OUTLAW THUNDER BY GOODYEAR
Based upon the popularity and success of last year’s debut, Eldora Speedway officials have announced that during the Saturday (May 8) leg of the Outlaw Thunder by Goodyear, they will open the pit area to general admission ticket holders for a pre-race ‘pit party’.

Whenever the travelling World of Outlaw (WoO) Sprint series stops at Eldora Speedway, there has never been any shortage of anticipation and their Outlaw Thunder by Goodyear 2010 Midwestern debut May 7 and 8 is expected to be no different.

Eldora Non-Wing Event Rained Out
Just as the track crews were putting the finishing touches on the clay one-half mile clay oval in preparation for Saturday’s race meet, another band of showers invaded the area. With the forecast for heavy rains and thunderstorms invading the area during the early evening hours, race officials canceled the event to avoid travel costs for the competitors and fans.

THURSDAY PRACTICE SESSION SET AT ELDORA
Eldora Speedway officials have set their previously announced pre-season open practice session on the one-half mile clay oval for Thursday evening (April 15) from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, with the pit gate opening at 5:00 PM.

Night number two of the Coca-Cola Sprint Classic at Eldora Speeddway fell victim to adverse weather conditions Saturday evening.

Friday USAC Show at Eldora Canceled
Friday night’s USAC National Sprint Car Series event at Eldora Speedway was canceled due to unsafe racing conditions. Officials worked on the track well past 10:00 trying to get surface into suitable racing condition, but were unable to do so.

When Eldora Speedway kicks into action over Easter Weekend (April 2 & 3) with the Coca Cola Spring Classic, it only seems fitting that the non-winged Sprint Cars of the United States Auto Club (USAC) will be the feature attraction. Honoring the memories of legendary Jud Larson and Don Branson, the 2010 lid lifter will mark the 49th consecutive season of USAC Sprint racing at Eldora.

TUNE & TEST OPPORTUNITY PRECEDES ELDORA SEASON
