Defending USAC National Ford Focus Champion Nick Drake and Scott Hunter hope to return to victory lane at Dillon (S.C.) Motor Speedway when the Eastern Ford Focus series resumes this Saturday. Hunter finished second in the 2010 race won by Drake, then Hunter won the second 2010 Dillon feature.

Sixty-five year old Wally Pankratz of Orange, Calif. led all 20 laps of Saturday night’s USAC Western Ford Focus feature at Ventura Raceway, which concluded the March 19 program which was interrupted by rain after the heat race. Trailing Pankratz at the checkered flag were Tyler Dolacki, Jarid Blondel, Daniel Williams and Robert Dolacki. Blondel is the new Western Ford Focus point leader by nine over Jessica Clark.

Weather forced cancellation of last Saturday’s Western Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns races at Shasta Motorsports Park in Anderson, Calif.

The Western Ford Focuses resume competition at Salt Lake City on May 7.
