Chad Blonde charged from his 12th starting position to capture the Winged Sprint Car feature at the Butler Motor Speedway 60th season opener. Ronnie Blair, Greg Wheeler and Chad Blonde all raced close and contact between a lapped car Blair and Blonde, saw Blair’s car roll to a stop off the backstretch, ending his night. From that point on Blonde was able to cruise to the win. Blonde’s evening didn’t start off well as the team was battling a fuel issue that saw the car lose power. In the pits, the team thrashed and was able to fix the problem prior to feature racing action.
