Rio Vista, CA –Wednesday May 25, 2011…It has been announced the Golden State King of the West Sprints event for next week at the Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway on June 4 has been canceled due to a poor start of the season, weather issues and the current weak economic situation in the area.
Promoter Scott Woodhouse will also be adjusting the 2011 Kings Speedway schedule in the following days. With a tough start to the year due to weather and the economy it has been decided to cancel the Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series event for next Saturday June 4, said Woodhouse.
The Saturday July 30 KWS event at the Petaluma Speedway has also been canceled, with the date needed to make up one of the Petaluma Championship Point races due to a number of local early season rainouts, stated Petaluma Promoter, Jim Soares.
The Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series will be in action this Saturday & Sunday at the Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, CA.
