This weekend’s “Unser Family Classic” at Albuquerque, N.Mex. is round six of USAC’s 2012 Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next Tour” and honors one of the sport’s most revered families. The event is presented under the auspices of the Roadrunner Quarter Midget Club.

Nine times the Unser family graced victory lane at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The exploits of the Albuquerque family are legendary and a victory in this weekend’s events will be cherished by all class winners.

“We look forward to our return to the Road Runner club in 2012,” states USAC Developmental Director James Spink. “Last year we saw some intense racing on their unique oval and expect much more of that this time around.”

Leaders entering the Albuquerque events include Wil Raber of Allegan, MI (Heavy Honda, Heavy World Formula, Heavy AA and Unrestricted Animal); Harrison Burton of Huntersville, NC (Light World Formula, Light 160 and Senior Animal); Logan Heath of Hereford, AZ (Junior Honda); Carson Hocevar of Portage, MI (Senior Honda); Famous Rhodes of San Jose, CA (Light Mod); Collin Olson of Hugo, MN (Heavy Mod); Alex Murray of Concord, NC (Light AA); Mark Miller of Mooresville, NC (Heavy 160); and Neal Allison of Greensboro, NC (Junior Animal).
