“It kinda evens out the field a little bit,” Chad Kemenah said. “Somebody hasn’t raced there 20 or 30 times. Everyone goes there and tries to compare it to a race track they’ve been to that is somewhat close.”

Minnesota native Craig Dollansky hasn’t competed at the 3/8-mile track, but said he watched a race a couple of years ago.

“I have seen it and it’s a beautiful facility,” he said.

Five-time series champion Donny Schatz, who has claimed the last two World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series events, said that he has raced at I-94 Speedway when he was beginning his racing career.

“Not since about 1993 or 1994,” he said. “That’s 20 years since I’ve been there. I remember it being a nice facility then. It had a pretty good bank to it and there was a lot of excitement for sure. I hear a lot of good things about it from the racers who race stock cars up here.”

NASCAR sensation Kyle Larson, 20-time series champion Steve Kinser and Tim Kaeding have each picked up a victory in the previous World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series inaugural races at a track this season.
