Beaver Dam, WI — (June 25, 2013) — Beaver Dam Raceway is one of the few race tracks that the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series competes where veteran Sammy Swindell has yet to win.

His next opportunity is this Saturday when the premier sprint car series tackles the third-mile oval for the 4th annual Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial.

“We’ve had some good runs there,” Swindell said. “It seems like the last couple of years we’ve been caught in a thing or two. I felt like I’ve always ran well there. Usually you can run around the top or run around the bottom, so it’s usually pretty exciting.”

Last season Kraig Kinser became the 12th different driver to pick up a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series feature win at Beaver Dam Raceway.

“Beaver Dam can always be an exciting track,” he said. “It’s always going to be racy and close to the corners around that place.”

Championship points leader Daryn Pittman and Joey Saldana have each claimed a series-best three victories.

“It’s a cool track,” Saldana said. “I enjoy racing it. They get a lot of good fans there.”

In addition to Pittman, Saldana and Kinser, two-time winners include Jac Haudenschild, Steve Kinser and Dave Blaney. Danny Lasoski, Jason Solwold, Craig Dollansky, Tim Shaffer, Donny Schatz and Mark Kinser all scored a single victory.
