Port Royal, PA — (July 23, 2013) — As part of Juniata County Fire & Rescue EMS Night this Saturday at Port Royal Speedway, PRS Promotions officials received confirmation early Monday from Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center that a Life Lion Air Ambulance will touch down in the track’s infield.

Providing adequate weather conditions prevail and barring any emergency that would take precedence, the Life Lion Air Ambulance is slated to land in the infield at approximately 5:30 pm and leave the oval at approximately 6:30 pm.

Fans will be provided access to the craft for the duration of the hour along with commentary from its flight crew.

The chopper’s appearance will require that all loose objects such as folding chairs, blankets, etc., be kept out of the infield until after the chopper exits the area at 6:30 pm.  None of these items will be permitted inside the infield until after the helicopter’s departure.

The July 27 racing program will feature racing action with the Aumiller’s Insurance 410 sprints, Gray’s Auto & Towing super late models and River Valley Builders PASS 305 sprints.

The night is meant to recognize and honor all fire, rescue and EMS companies and personnel from across Juniata County.

Upwards of two-dozen fire and rescue EMS apparatus units from all corners of the county will be on display at the track before and during the races.

Fire companies represented and committed include Port Royal, Mifflin, Fayette, Beale Township, Delaware Township, East Waterford and Richfield along with Port Royal, Fayette, Thompsontown, Central Juniata and Lack Tuscarora ambulance companies.

Firetruck rides for youth will be given around the fairgrounds prior to the races from approximately 6 until 7 pm.

A parade of all fire trucks, ambulances and rescue trucks on hand for the night will take place during intermission.

In addition, The Seven Mountains Emergency Services Council will also be on hand before and during the event with Andy The Ambulance, an electronic, self-propelled, interactive ambulance that helps teach adults and children about medical safety and services.

Gates for the show will open at 5 pm with adult general admission set at $15 and students ages 12 – 18 admitted for just $5.
