(Lebanon, IN)  Cordy Horn claimed the win when the USSA Mel Kenyon Midget Series returned to pavement racing on the High Banks of Anderson Speedway on Saturday September 14.  Horn took advantage of his pole position start and very hard racing behind him to lead each of the 30-laps.

Series point leader Spencer Bayston engaged in a race long battle with Cole Fehr and former series regular Grant Galloway.  After taking the third spot from Fehr, Bayston set out on a relentless pursuit of Galloway.  For much of the last third of the race Bayston and Galloway raced within inches of each other.  On the last lap, Bayston squeezed by Galloway exiting turn four to earn the second spot by mere 0.021 advantage.

Jessica bean improved on her eighth place starting spot to complete the top five.  Earlier in the day, Bean finished 11th in a Skip Barber Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH.

The Mel Kenyon Midget Series will close out its championship race on Saturday October 5 at Anderson Speedway as a part of the UAW Presents the Making Strides to End Breast Cancer “Paint the Night Pink” Championship Night at Anderson Speedway.
