Tiner Seeks Help To Expand 2014 Schedule

PETERSEN MEDIA

In 2013 Steven Tiner spent most of the season competing aboard his own Steven Tiner Racing machine, as well as a few cameo appearances in the Western Metal No. 37, and the Peterson Racing No. 23,  and was in action 45 nights. In 2014, the Visalia, CA driver is looking for sponsorship help or possibly another ride to increase his schedule and compete in more across the West Coast.

“In 2013 I was fortunate enough to have a couple of opportunities to run for some great car owners and run over 40 races, and heading into 2014, I’m hoping to get some support so I can run even more races,” he said.

In 45 races in 2013, Tiner was a very consistent racer as he pocketed 26 top-10 finishes, with 21 of those being top-five’s and a majority of those finishes being top-three’s to go along with a feature event win at the Kings Speedway towards the end of the year.

“We were really fast in 2013, but some bad luck cost us a couple of wins in my opinion, and some DNF’s, so in 2014, I’m itching to run a lot more races, but I need some help to step my program up.”

Tiner hopes to start his season when the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour invades Arizona, and hopes to take them on again when they hit California in the Summer.

The 30-year-old pilot also hopes to compete for the California Civil War Series Presented by Flowmaster Championship, as well as numerous stops at weekly tracks around California.

“I am eager to get the season started, and am hopeful I can put something together to race a lot,” he said. “I am very thankful to my partners who are returning to my team in 2013, and hopefully we can add to that list soon.”
