MOSS, BRIDGES, AND MORGAN TAKE WINS IN J&J’S

McKENZIE, TN (April 16) – It was a J&J Auto Racing sweep in the Spring Speed Xplosion event this past weekend with Johnny Bridges winning night one and Lance Moss scoring his first-ever victory in night two. Shane Morgan also joined the victory parade for J&J by winning the Southern Outlaw Sprinters feature event in Mississippi.

Past USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional series Champion Johnny Bridges kicked off the season with a victory in his No. 07 J&J Friday night at Carolina Speedway. Bridges, who started fifth in the USCS vs. URC North vs. South challenge event, passed early race-leader Lance Moss (No. 23 J&J) on lap eighteen after a restart and led the final seven laps of the 25 lap contest. Moss finished second ahead of 10-time series USCS Champion Terry Gray (No. 10 J&J). It was a top-five J&J sweep with reigning URC champion Robbie Stillwaggon (No. 89 J&J) finishing fourth ahead of Morgan Turpen (No. 10m J&J).

USCS – SATURDAY

Lance Moss will always remember his night at Lancaster Speedway on Saturday, April 12, 2015. The driver of the No. 23 Champion Oil/Carbon Raptor backed J&J scored his first career triumph in Round #2 of the USCS vs. URC North vs. South challenge. Moss started on the pole and led the first seven laps before Eric Riggins (No. 47 J&J) took the top spot until lap 18 when his machine came out of gear. Moss retook control and led the rest of the way to secure the emotional win.

Johnny Bridges, (No. 07 J&J) who passed Moss late in Friday’s race to open the weekend, finished second Saturday and Robbie Stillwaggon (No. 89 J&J) was third. Morgan Turpen (No. 10m J&J) earned her second consecutive fifth-place finish, Terry Gray (No. 10 J&J) was sixth ahead of Eric Riggins, Jr., who came back to finish seventh.

SOUTHERN OUTLAW SPRINTERS

Shane Morgan raced his familiar No. 01 J&J to victory Saturday night in the Southern Outlaw Sprinters event at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss. The win was Morgan’s first of the year.

Other recent winners… Terry McCarl earned his first win in 2014 driving Jeremy Scadden’s No. 6 J&J to victory on April 5 in the ASCS-Midwest series event at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.
