Cassopolis, MI — (June 25, 2014) — A huge re-opening is set for Dixie (MI) Motor Speedway on Friday, June 27 when the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVBBSS) and the Main Event Racing Series (MERS) will be showcased on the .400-mile oval on one night of racing.

The AVBBSS will compete in their fifth event of the season and Friday’s race marks the first of two stops at Dixie. In 2013, Mike Ling and Jo Jo Helberg earned the feature victories at the first class facility.

Drivers that have scored feature victories in 2014 include Jimmy McCune (Angola), Jo Jo Helberg (Kalamazoo), Ryan Litt (Toledo) and most recently Troy DeCaire (M-40)

Heading into Friday’s program, five-time series champion Jason Blonde leads the point standings after earning two runner-up finishes and three top fives in the initial four races. Second in the standings in 2010 series champion Kevin Feeney with rising star Davey Hamilton Jr. in third position. The remainder of the top five includes 2013 series runner-up Joe Swanson and veteran Mike Astraukas.

Two-time Little 500 Champion Jacob Wilson returns to series competition after posting a fifth-place finish in the season opener at Angola in May. Dustin Daggett will make his third appearance of 2014, he is coming off an eighth-place showing at Toledo in mid-June.

In addition to Winged Sprint Cars and Outlaw Super Late Models, the Vores Compact Traveling Series will be part of the racing program.

Racing is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27 and the track offers free camping. Admission for Adults is $25, Senior Citizens $22, Teens (13-17) $18, Child (6-12) $8 and Five & under are Free.
