Sydney, AU — (February 4, 2015) — Dates for Valvoline Raceway’s most prestigious Sprintcar event, the Scott Darley Challenge, have been confirmed for the 2015/2016 season.
The race will be held over Friday night, January 15 and Saturday night January 16, 2016.
“The significance of this event on a national scale but also the importance of it to NSW Sprintcar Racing and Valvoline Raceway is continually growing,” stated VR Managing Director Steven Green today, “we understand that to expand our travelling fan and racer data base for this race we need to lock in the dates as early as possible. This gives everyone a chance to pen the weekend in with plenty of advance notice.”
The weekend, which honours the memory of Sydney Sprintcar racer Scott Darley, will be positioned once again conveniently between the major blue ribbon events across the East Coast of Australia in the month of January.
“The weekend we ran the Scotty Darley race this season allowed the best racers across Australia and the visiting Americans to compete,” says Green, “and we feel confident that by consistently programming on that mid-January date the same situation will prevail. It’s also a very convenient date for travelling fans to plan around.”
Accommodation and airfare bookings can now be made for interested spectators and racers wishing to attend what is hoped will be the biggest ever running of the Scott Darley Challenge in January 2016.
