Sweet Success In Vegas Midget Main

From Dick Jordan

Brad Sweet was not to be denied Thursday night at the “Las Vegas Super Sprint Classic” during the USAC National Midget portion of the event as he led the initial six laps and the final two.

Chad Boat was the car on the move early as he took the top position on lap 7 after starting 8th and looked to be on a mission. However as the laps wound down Sweet and Brad Loyet were clawing their way back to the front.

A caution with two to go bunched up the field and Sweet took over the lead on the white flag circuit and he held on for the victory over Boat, Loyet, Darren Hagen and Tracy Hines (from 15th).
