Merced, CA – May 11, 2011…With economic factors in consideration Merced Speedway has decided to cancel the previously scheduled Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series event for next Sunday May 22.
With crowds down this season at the track and a depressed economy in the area it has been decided that the best interest of the speedway has been to cancel the KWS date.
The Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series will still be in action next Saturday night May 21 at the Santa Maria Speedway in Santa Maria, California.
