TUCSON, Ariz. (August 20, 2011) – Rick Ziehl continued his Sunoco Fuel ASCS Southwest mastery of the 3/8-mile USA Raceway clay oval by winning Saturday night’s 25-lap feature event.
The win marked the three-time and defending series champion’s fifth overall ASCS Southwest win of the year and fourth consecutive series score at USA Raceway.
Ziehl was chased to the stripe by J.T. Imperial, with Dalten Gabbard, Calvin Landis and Joshua Hodges rounding out the top five. Lance Norick climbed from 16th to sixth, with Mike Rux, Jr., Chuck Buckman, Jordan Stetson and Joshua Williams completing the top ten.
Hodges and Ziehl won the heat races.
