SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Rain from Hurricane Irene forced Selinsgrove Speedway officials to cancel Saturday night’s four division racing program at 2 p.m. The cancellation was the seventh of the season due to inclement weather. The 13th Annual Late Model Open, which has been postponed twice due to rain, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8.

Next weekend, Selinsgrove Speedway will present the Mach 1 Chassis National Open for 358-360 sprint cars at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. The 30-lap main event will pay $8,000 to win out of a purse totaling more than $36,000. Also on the racing card will be the pro stocks. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.
